Exhibitions by prestigious automobile makers, vintage motorbikes and cars, automobile club parades and rallies
Commemorative postmark, postage stamp exhibition and curiosities.
The old town center becomes an open-air museum featuring special events and shows of valuable cars.
Special exhibitions and competitions enrich the programme with the collaboration of students from Venturi Art School, who will prepare thirty or so works focusing on the theme of Stanguellini “100 years of automobile racing in Modena”, works which will be exhibited in the shops of the old town center, judged in the competition and then auctioned off for charity.
Piazza XX Settembre will be transformed into a filmset of the 50s and 60s with actors "remaking" famous scenes from Italian films in which means of locomotion played an important role (Il Sorpasso, I Vitelloni, Bolidi di fuoco, etc.), setting the scenes in an exhibition featuring the original vehicles and souvenirs of the Modena of the 50s and 60s with vintage flavours and atmospheres.
The Automobile Club of Modena will present the “On the Road with Dad" ("In Viaggio con Papà") road safety initiative for kids aged 6 to 18 and their parents.
Funny VIP clowns and the circus school will entertain the public with a parade through the city center and workshops for children.
MAY 29-30: STANGUELLINI MEMORIAL
Historic city racing circuit
A rally of Stanguellini vintage cars and other exclusive models produced between ‘36 and '65 with crews from all over Italy and abroad participating in the first edition of a unique event celebrating the historic Modena automobile maker Stanguellini.
An international event planned to mark the centennial of the birth of Vittorio Stanguellini: a precursor of the great craftsmanship and professionalism in automobile racing technology still associated with the name of Modena all over the world.
